My Summer In Maine - Hampton Beach Sand Sculptures

For a little weekend fun, we all piled in the mini van and headed over to Hampton Beach.  First up was checking out all the amazing sand sculptures that had been created by people way more talented then I could ever hope to be.  It was really amazing what they did with sand and a little water!  Afterwards we found a spot and went swimming.  Or at least the adults did.  Unfortunately the water was breaking right where the kids wanted to be and beyond that it was too deep for them to be comfortable so Mike, Laura and I took turns so everyone had a chance to swim and enjoy the day.

My Summer in Maine - Just another day at Long Sands beach

I was lucky enough to be conveniently located near two major beaches - Long Sands and Short Sands.  Long Sands quickly became the favorite as it had the best sand for making sand castles and the best waves for boogie boarding (or laughing at Aunt Tracy when she attempted to boogie board).
It was also Mom and Dad's favorite. Still holding hands after all of these years :).

Work Activity - Bowling and Pizza

In the middle of my grand beach adventure I had to travel to St. Paul, MN for a business trip. On the plus side this trip included a little fun with my coworkers in the form of bowling and pizza. Let's just say my bowling game has not improved with age!

My Summer in Maine - Week Two

My second week in Maine my parents flew out to visit.  We had a great week - mom and dad went off to explore during the day when I was working and then evenings and the weekend we spent with Mike and Laura and the kids at the beach, eating at Fox's, shopping, sightseeing and just enjoying being with each other.
